On Tuesday 5 December STEM Future Lawyers is partnering with one of the most forward thinking global law firms to hold a workshop for STEM students and graduates interested in becoming lawyers.
The exclusive event – running from 5pm-7:30pm – takes place at Reed Smith’s Innovation Hub in the Broadgate Tower in London. It will be led by the firm’s Innovation Manager, Alex Smith, who will be joined by a panel of lawyers and trainees from STEM backgrounds working across a range of practice areas.
Those selected to attend will work in small groups to tackle a host of questions and mini-challenges around topics including legal data analysis, artificial intelligence and blockchain. Afterwards they will discuss the issues that arose in an interactive session led by Alex and the team, over drinks and snacks.
This year Reed Smith has increased the number of new STEM graduates it has hired as trainee solicitors by 12%. The firm is keen to attract STEM students for both its vacation schemes and training contracts, and will also be discussing tips on applying.
Apply to attend below. You’ll be asked to submit a CV and two questions for the firm. Please note that the details of those offered places will be shared with Reed Smith’s graduate recruitment team.
