STEM Future Lawyers is back for its summer 2018 season with an evening session at Imperial College London that is open to all STEM students.

The event -- which takes place on the evening of Tuesday 12 June -- commences with a panel session featuring lawyers from science backgrounds from three leading law firms: Allen & Overy, Bristows and Clifford Chance.

The speakers are:

Oscar Robinson, an associate in Allen & Overy’s litigation team. He studied Biology at Oxford University.

Rachel Mumby, a senior associate in Bristows’ patent litigation team. She graduated with a chemistry degree from Oxford University.

Jennifer Bolton, a senior associate in Clifford Chance's finance group. She graduated with a degree in zoology from the University of Nottingham.

They will talk about their career journeys to date, and discuss how the skills they learnt during their STEM undergraduate degrees have been useful in their work as solicitors. Further, the trio will advise attendees on how they can present these experiences when applying for vacation schemes and training contracts in a way that maximises their chances of success.

After the panel session there will be drinks and networking, where attendees will have the chance to chat informally with the speakers and members of their firms’ graduate recruitment teams.

The event runs from 6-8pm at Imperial College’s South Kensington Campus. It is open to all STEM students and graduates (not just Imperial ones!)

Apply to attend below. You’ll be asked to submit a CV and two questions for the panel.
